OBJECTIVES

The professional bachelor’s degree in management aims at:

-Enhancing students’ knowledge and practical skills in the field of management

- Enhancing students’ ability in managerial, control, and communication skills.

- Enhancing knowledge and understanding in human resource and global management

CAREERS

Upon completion of training, the graduate can aspire for the following responsibilities and job opportunities in both the business and not-for-profit organization;

-create and manage small and medium size enterprises

-manage and prospect micro-finance institutions

-be employed directly in the management department of private companies like MTN Cameroon, ORANGE Cameroon, and CHOCOCAM etc.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates aspiring to do the professional bachelor’s degree in management should be holders of the higher national diploma (HND) in management from an approved higher institution or any other recognized equivalent certificate

 

TEACHING PROGRAMME

The program is a one year course comprising of lectures, tutorials, practical, and student’s personal work. The program will also include a period of 12 weeks of industrial attachment wherein the trainees are expected to blend their theorical achievements with practical experience in organizations of their course, normally approved by the university authorities. At the end of this, the trainees are expected to present and defend a tutored project.

The training carries eight teaching units of 16 courses. Lectures are organized in two semesters of 30 credit values each, making a total of 60 credit values since one value is worth 15 contact hours, students are expected to follow 675 contact hours for the year.
